This Privacy Policy explains how Juno Labs collects, uses, and protects personal and technical data when you use Scott AI — our web and desktop applications for engineering design and AI-assisted development.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

2.1 Account Information

  • Name, email address, and authentication credentials (password or SSO via Google)
  • Organization or team details (if applicable)

2.2 Usage and Technical Data

  • Application activity logs, feature usage, and analytics (via PostHog)
  • Error and crash reports (via Sentry)
  • Device, operating system, and app version
  • IP address, browser type, and timestamps

2.3 Code and Content Data

  • Code snippets, filenames, or repository metadata you explicitly grant the app access to
  • AI-generated artifacts, specifications, and conversation history
  • Shared content (e.g., design documents or collaborative sessions)

2.4 Payment Information

Managed by third-party providers (Stripe); we do not store payment card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts
  • Run AI agents on your codebase to provide suggestions and design insights
  • Debug and improve the Service (Sentry)
  • Analyze product usage and adoption (PostHog)
  • Process payments and subscriptions (Stripe)
  • Communicate updates, new features, and account-related notices

We do not sell personal data.

We do not control or assume responsibility for the privacy practices of these providers.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active.
  • Code and content data: retained for your active sessions and until deleted.
  • Analytics and logs: retained up to 12 months for performance analysis.
  • You can request deletion of all data by contacting founders@tryscott.ai.

6. Data Security

We use:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Role-based access controls
  • API key and credential encryption
  • Regular audits and restricted employee access

However, no system is 100% secure. Use at your own risk and maintain version control backups.

7. User Rights

8. Cookies and Tracking

Scott AI uses cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics (PostHog). EU users may see a cookie banner or settings modal where required.

9. Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards where required.

10. Children's Privacy

Scott AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

11. Email Communications and CAN-SPAM Compliance

Juno Labs Inc., including Bloodhound by Scott, is committed to complying with the CAN-SPAM Act in its commercial email communications. When we send marketing emails, we:

  • Use accurate sender information and subject lines, and identify advertisements as required.
  • Include a valid physical postal address and a clear, easy way to unsubscribe from all marketing emails.
  • Keep the unsubscribe method available for at least 30 days after sending each email and honor opt-out requests within 10 business days, without a fee.
  • Do not sell or transfer opted-out email addresses, except to a service provider helping us comply with your request.
  • Require and monitor compliance by providers sending marketing emails on our behalf.

To stop receiving marketing emails, use the unsubscribe instructions in the email or contact bloodhound@tryscott.ai. You may still receive non-marketing emails necessary to fulfill your requests or service your orders.

12. Text Messages and Mobile Information

If you opt in to text messages from Bloodhound, we use your mobile number and message content to respond to parts sourcing inquiries, provide quotes, coordinate orders and delivery, and offer customer support. We obtain any consent required before sending messages, including separate express written consent for promotional texts. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies based on your requests and orders. Message and data rates may apply.

You can withdraw your messaging consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting bloodhound@tryscott.ai. After opting out, you may receive one confirmation text; no further texts will be sent unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact the same email address.

We do not sell or share mobile information, text messaging opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with providers that help deliver and support our messaging service, such as Twilio, as needed for that service, or as required by law. These providers are not authorized to use it for their own marketing.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If significant changes occur, we will notify users via email or in-app notice. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
